There’s a lot that comes with and goes with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. However the definitive heart and soul of the Harley is undeniably its engine. The engine pulls the motorcycle together into what many believe is one perfect mass of cruising sculpture.

At the core of every 2007 Big Twin Engine resides a new 96 cubic inch engine perfectly designed in unison with a custom Cruise Drive six speed transmission.

Everything riders have loved about the Harley engine has been significantly magnified in the Twin Cam 96. Shifts points ideally match power output far superior to ever before. Engine displacement has increased to a whopping 1584 cubic centimeters to take advantage of full acceleration. Additionally, lower cruising rpm’s bringi longer lasting comfort to even the longest cross country haul. Standard on all models is Electronic Fuel Injection. The much heralded piston stroke has been lengthened to 4 3/8” to supply a massive amount of added torque. Covers and castings have been further reinforced ensuring that the engine is durable as is always with the Harley Davidson name. Listen closely to the Harley exhaust and you will notice that he rumbling out of the pipes is even more Harley than ever before.

A Harley Davidson motor, however, is only complete once it finds its home into one of our classic Harley motorcycles.
