Harley Davidson Softail FXST Standard Picture

A Fever for Wind with Righteous Curb Appeal

The Harley Davidson Softail clearly showcases the new Twin Cam 96B engine is class, sophistication and passionate Harley style. The Softail is he only family of Harley Davidson motorcycles where the engine is rigid mounted and counterbalanced. This make the style of the Harley motorcycle tighter and more compact for a distinguished look that’s low and long all the way to the hidden rear suspension and timeless Softail exhaust.

A six speed cruise Drive system gearbox combines with the new and more efficient engine to create a nearly semless connection to performance. Much more power in all the right places—whether you are riding fully loaded, two-up or solo. EFI comes now standard on all Harley models. A much improved muffler design makes all 1854cc’s of the improved engine very pleasing to the ears.

This year, one new model joins the family of Softail Harleys and that is the FXSTC Softail Custom and one overhaul design in the FLSTF Fat Boy. An optional new security system disarms and arms via the key fob on the Softail. This commitment showcases Harley Davidson’s continual attempt to improve the experience. All new 25mm, stiffer front axles on FL and FX models create a much improved handling experience. AS well as brighter indicator lights on the Softail make for a much better view. Lastly, a reduced clutch lever effort was instituted to make the customer’s ride as smooth as it could be.
